Liz: When I was away at artist educator week which was amazing I found out
that students in New York are having sit ins , as are students in
Amsterdam at the Rietveld and I knew students have been in London at
University of the Arts London at St Martins. So the media won't talk
about it but it needs to be known to spread the word the action the

Michel Thomas
1914- 2005 was a polyglot linguist. He developed a way of teaching
languages quickly. In his earlier life he survived imprisonment in
several different Nazi concentration camps
With Thomas's method, the teacher cautions students to avoid making
notes and to refrain from making conscious attempts to memorise,
promising that the teacher will "be taking full responsibility" for
their learning. Thomas stated that keeping the students relaxed,
focused, and stretched with a feeling of mounting successful achievement
lies at the heart of the method. The removal of the stress and anxiety
of "being put on the spot" of conventional language learning, especially
school language learning, is a key advantage of the method.
